Glowel
In the sauna people sometimes feel a bit insecure. But why do people go to the sauna? In the master course ‘Exploring Interactions’ I explored the sauna context and designed something that helps people feel accepted.
Exploration
By means of diving in the world of a sauna visitor (going to the sauna, reading stories on the internet, and contextmapping techniques) we explored why people love to go to saunas. A very important aspected turned out to be acceptance.
Concept development
To make people feel accepted, I designed Glowel. Glowel is a sauna towel that glows in the dark. The glowing boarder emits light while taking a bath. The owner can use it as a timer, while other visitors can clearly see where people sit and for what time.
Glowel reserves some personal space for you!
